New OLSH Provincial Leadership Team

On the 10th of January at OLSH Convent Kensington, a simple ceremony was held within the liturgy, to hand over the leadership of the Province to the new Provincial and her Council.

Members of the new leadership team are: Sister Elizabeth Little – Provincial Leader, and members of her Council: Srs Jennifer Kirby, Lorraine McCleary, Philippa Murphy and Pauline Richards.

Sr Elizabeth Little was born in Melbourne and is the eldest of nine children. Elizabeth’s most current ministry was in the role of Chancellor of the Diocese of Darwin. Elizabeth spent most of her religious life as an educator and school Principal at schools within the N.T including the remote indigenous community of Wadeye. Elizabeth has also served on Provincial the Council.

Sr Jenny Kirby is the eldest of two children. Jenny has been serving as a member of the Provincial Council and is also the director at the Hartzer Park Conference and Retreat Centre. Jenny spent many years working in the NT in the areas of administration and aboriginal education.

Sr Lorraine McCleary is one of six children. Lorraine’s ministry has been in Secondary Education! She has worked as a teacher and in School Leadership, both within Australia and overseas missions of South Africa and South Sudan

Sr Philippa Murphy is one of three children. Philippa’s ministry has been in Secondary Education within Australia and Africa, and her most current ministry was as Principal of Mapuordit Secondary School South Sudan.

Sr Pauline Richards is one of three children. She has been involved in Health Care in our aboriginal missions and is committed to nursing and aged care. For many years she has been Director of Nursing at St Joseph’s Aged Care Facility, Kensington.
